Just about bordering on odd, I see things through different eyes. The heading says it all - I live, I love, I craft, I am me...

Challenging myself with good 'Intentions'

Firstly - thank you for your lovely comments and sharing your weekend happenings - it does make me so happy to see them :) thank you.

I have forgiven my dear 'Himself' for being so enthusiastic about walking in all weathers on Saturday, especially as today he is feeling rotten with a nasty little cold.

Every year I try to challenge myself with some sort of resolution to make me try something new. One year, I even called them revolutions as I wanted to really shake things up. But this year, they have been named 'Intentions'.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Good Intentions Challenge 1 - 52 New Recipes♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

A few years ago, I joined in with a '52 New Recipes' challenge. Each week we would try a different recipe to 'enliven' our existing meals. I have to say that on the whole - we did well, however there were some 'interesting' offerings. Now a couple of years down the line we are still happily eating some of the more successful 'New Recipes'. I think it is time to rejuvenate our meals again - So I am reinstating the 52 New Recipes challenge!

As I go along I am going to blog about it and if you fancy joining in - feel free! Please just link back to me so we can all share in the recipes  :)

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Good Intentions Challenge 2 - Crafty Challenge 12♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

This is a new challenge for me, I love making things but often run out of ideas or inspiration, so I have joined up with a dear friend and we are going to give each other a monthly challenge. The idea is to make more than one so we can put it aside as a gift for a special friend or towards a birthday or even a chrimbly pressie! We also have to do it on a budget!

I am going to blog about it as I go along and if you fancy joining in - feel free! Please just link back to me so we can all share in the fun :)

January's crafty challenge is: - a woodland inspired tealight.

  3. I keep thinking about being more adventurous with our meals again, but when there are only two of us, it's not quite the same. (used to be 5 when we were younger). As for the woodland inspired tealight, I think we've done that for Xmas just gone!!! I'll possibly see what you do and may join in. Take care.

  5. I tend to have adventurous weeks when cooking where I search through recipe books or the internet looking for something different for dinner. Then I go through weeks of same old, same old, just same meals, cooked on different days of the week. Tonight I'm cooking pasta with broccoli and cheese, something different for us but essential as when I asked hubby to purchase the veg for our sunday dinner, I suggested purple sprouting or broccoli. He misheard and thought I'd said and......! hence plenty of veg in the fridge.
Like your idea of new recipes and your crafty challenge, look forward to hearing all about them.
