My days are full, as are my weeks and by the time I sit down in the evenings all good intention just melts into the settee as I feel myself relax and more often than not - nod off.
The weather has been good too so we have spent nearly every waking hour when we are not working either out walking or camping or in the garden - days flash by then almost a month goes by when I realise that I've not dropped into my blog and I've hardly checked others. *note to self - find time.
So, thought I would dip the toe in the proverbial waters of blogging and say hi - I've not disappeared, I've just stepped sideways.
May was beautiful - we managed a lot of walking, in beautiful places and we even slipped in a bit of camping or rather 'vanning'. There is something healing waking up and watching the tide go out.
I must have needed the break - I fell asleep one afternoon in the van, leaving Himself quietly watching the world go by. I've never done that before.
There is something cleansing, something cathartic about being near the coast. It has been a very very long time since I have been anywhere near the edgelands - I have missed them.
Thanks so much for the catch up post Kate. I so enjoyed seeing those photos & had hoped you were not going to disappear altogether from blogland. Yes, the sea is very cathartic & although in the grips of untold weather events here & pandemic ups & downs, I hope to get to the waters edge in the next few weeks & walk & breather and just be us. Take care, stay safe & big hugs from down under.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan - enjoy your walking and breathing when you get the chance :)
DeleteLovely to hear from you, reading your blog is making me long to be by the sea … especially with the wonderful weather we have been having. Sadly, we need to wait till September before we will get to the sea … unless we manage an epic day out. I think we live at the furthest point from the sea there is in the UK 😃
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, I have desperately missed the coast, I'm not into lying on the beach or sunbathing/swimming in the sea - it is the air and the light, the smell and that feeling only the coastal climate seems to impart!
DeleteLovely memories of a well spent May. Gorgeous photographs, I especially love the shoreline ones, boats, water, all so relaxing. Keep dipping your toes in to you blog, we've missed you but understand you are busy.🧡🦴🧡 🦴 xx
ReplyDeleteThank you - I blog three - four times a week for work, so soon use up my waffle :)
DeleteSo glad you can find time to escape. I'm sure Moss enjoys herself too. Always better to be busy than bored! I too like to see the sea but NO THANKS to swimming, sunbathing and the like! x
