I've adapted my walking spreadsheet to record the miles I'll do each day this year. At the end of 3 January I've done 29440 steps and 12.05 miles; so a good start! I was spotted walking to Sainsbury's today and Beloved stopped and took me there and back. Bless him but now I'm short on my steps for today....
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, it is most encouraging when you see the numbers gently adding up :)
ReplyDeleteAt the end of 10 January I've managed (not sure how) to walk 42 miles (102,597 steps). Target miles for January will be 84.92 (about 207,700 steps); so I'm ahead of my daily target and need not worry if I have a few slow days... Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWell, despite not walking as much as I would have liked to, I've managed to walk 75.21 miles.... at the moment it is almost a forced activity as I'd rather stay at home and craft but when I'm out on a walk it is good!
ReplyDeletebrilliant! I am running behind my self imposed target - treating it more like a guide line at the moment - just need to get my sprained ankle up and running again (well - not actual running - more like walking!!)
DeleteWhat's the significance of place names next to some walk days? I doubt I can do 11 miles in one day, unless I had lots of rests (and crochet) in between). If you do a few more 11+ milers you will soon be romping ahead; please wave and shouts words of encouragement when you pass me! To-date I've done 181 miles. Must keep going!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the map and clarification. I've made it to Bristol. Looks like a long way to go yet!
DeleteUoD - trip to University of Durham???? At the start of the line with the red text February Target ..... should the date be 28.02??? You are catching me up!
ReplyDeleteUoD is Durham! Sorted the date out - thank you :)
DeleteYou can claim East Sussex now!
ReplyDeleteJust painted in Kent 😀😀
ReplyDeleteYou are steaming along now. I've nearly made it to Hertfordshire. Beloved organised a route today but it was longer than he thought! We managed it.
DeleteKeep going! You might make February's target. Well done to catch up.
ReplyDeleteOnly 8 miles behind and 3 days to do it in - (just got to remember to factor in all the other things I need to do!)
DeleteSo close! Another new month and I'm sure you'll meet the target!
ReplyDeleteM
28 02 March? Do you mean 31 03 March? Are you checking my brain is still working? Not done much walking these past few days!!
ReplyDeleteGah - not again! nope - it is me doing 'halfa-job' sigh - keep your beady eyes on me please :D
DeleteYes, I will be watching you!!!
DeleteYes 4 March was wet but I managed 12000 steps; partly at home, at Boundary Mill and the rest walking to Ball Grove in the dampness. I was determined to get some steps in today!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, the recent days of wetness have not helped you do many miles. We got out for a walk round home and got back just as it started to rain. Forecast for the next few days is not good either!
ReplyDeleteNo walking for me today, other than around the house then Aldi/Lidl....
ReplyDeleteYou are catching me up! I seem to be stuck in Warwickshire.. poor weather this week has not helped! Tomorrow's sleet/snow/rain does not bode well. Never mind I will keep calm and carry on hand quilting!
ReplyDeleteWalking I am not! Managed about 1.1 miles yesterday..... but you are getting closer.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Oxfordshire! IBS again = no walks for me.... boo hiss.
ReplyDeleteOoh, 9 more days left to do about 26 miles; fingers crossed you get to do this.
ReplyDeleteThe target number just keeps staying out of reach! Most annoying :D
DeleteIt's now about 15 miles over 7 days; you can do it girl!
ReplyDeleteFour more days to do 7.4 miles.... I've every confidence you will do this!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would do it! Well done. Now you've got 2 days to create a surplus.....
ReplyDelete13.23 miles surplus!!! Well done to catch up, get there and get ahead. I've had a slow month but have managed to do just over the required miles for March. Keep walking!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Got to get some saved up for those days that walking is just impossible 😊😊
DeleteYes having miles saved up is a must! Not walking (again!) today so at this rate I'll have to dip into my surplus.... but it's only 2 April and I'm sure I'll get better!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing well and catching me up. I've made it to Rutland but seem to be taking my time leaving; such a small area but I'm spending ages there.....
ReplyDeleteYou've about 36 miles to do to met this month's target and 20 days in which to do it! It has taken me 5 days to do 10 miles.... finally I've arrived in Norfolk but I might be there for days!
ReplyDeleteTwelve days left this month and you only need 12 miles to attain your target! Keep going. You are catching me up quickly. I've made it to Staffordshire but it is hard going!
ReplyDeleteWow, virtually there! So the next 11 days will be bonus/surplus miles! Job done.
ReplyDeleteSo you are now about 15 miles over April's target; I bet that feels good. All the work I've been doing recently at Keighley is helping me with my miles! I've just flopped over the border into Lincolnshire. I wonder how long it will be before you overtake me?
ReplyDeleteGosh, you must be really poorly. Hope you get better soon. At least you have a good surplus. For April I just managed 2.3 miles over the target... No idea how this month will pan out as Keighley still looms!
ReplyDeleteI bet you are fed up with being poorly so long but have you noticed you'be made it to Norfolk?? I'm still on a go slow too but not as slow as you are. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it! Now a twisted knee. You've got to 350 miles so can claim another county.
ReplyDeleteI saw you set off with Moss yesterday, walking in a stiff manner. I did wave but at that moment you turned your head away.... I'm not taking it personally!
ReplyDeleteYou're just about into Cheshire, almost home territory. Keep getting better!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to walking. I've just been reading about the KT, interesting. Will be interested to see how long you use it.
ReplyDeleteYou've made a good start to the 500 miles target. Fingers crossed you daily walking is a similar distance!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are back to walking. Great news.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you can get the miles in, weather etc permitting!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are starting to walk again. By my rough reckoning, if you average 3 miles/day to the end of the month you will reach your target of 500 miles! Positive vibes coming your way through the ether!
ReplyDelete9 more days in this month and only 22 more miles to walk. Keep going!
ReplyDeleteYou've kept going as you've only a good 2 miles to walk to get to the 500 mile mark! After the knee episodes you must be happy to be back on track.
ReplyDeleteYou did it! I bet you feel so pleased with yourself. One of your better months too! Fingers crossed you do not have any more set backs.
ReplyDeleteYou need a suitable graphic to illustrate your 500 miles achievement.
ReplyDeleteYou're in Durham! Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteAnother good walk under your belt today; I've been idle/busy today but might do 2 miles!!!
ReplyDelete28 more miles to do this month and there are 14 days left; so I make that only 2 miles/day.... Take Miss Moss for a wet walk!
ReplyDeleteLess than 3 miles to achieve your target and 7 days in which to do this and build up a surplus. Well done.
ReplyDeleteWell you ended July on a high! Well done and keep going.
ReplyDeleteYour miles for 1 Aug seem to be on the same line as 2 Aug, but after 2 Aug. Took me a while to work out what was going on! Thanks for getting my brain into action!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a bit to understand your confusion - until I opened it to add today's miles - it has been now fixed, I should not post on my cell - it confuses the spaces and font sizes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for fixing it. I'm no longer confused!
DeleteYou forgot to celebrate when you reached 500 miles! Only taken me this long to realise this... ah the joys of getting older! x
ReplyDeleteLooks like both of us are not doing much walking at the moment!
ReplyDelete11 days till it's September and about 20 miles yet to walk. Of course you can do it! I had started to slip this month but I've managed to recover and might be 2 miles ahead of my daily accumulative target. So we'd best keep plodding along!
ReplyDeleteYippee! You might reach your target today or if not tomorrow. Great stuff. I'm sure the recent weather has helped.
ReplyDeleteGosh, you've done some miles of late. Don't forget to celebrate when you get to 750!
ReplyDeleteGive yourself 2 gold stars. You've met your target and passed the 750 mile marker. What awful weather we have had of late. Fingers crossed we get some sunshine!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are still managing to get some walks in. Not easy at the moment with TAM on the horizon and our current weather.
ReplyDeleteJust popping in to say I've seen your latest miles; I presume once TAM is over you will be free to walk and walk and walk....
ReplyDeleteSo glad you've found time to update your miles!
ReplyDeleteLooks like if you average 4 miles a day today and every day till end of November, you'll hit your target.... but so much depends on the weather! I'll be sending you positive vibes every day.
ReplyDeleteYou almost made it; I must send more positive vibes to you. x
ReplyDeleteI like that you are counting down! Keep going.

You are doing well. I've not stopped walking but I'm no longer trying! I blame it on the weather and IBS... though it is nice out there today so might make the effort to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteJust noticed you've signed up for 1000 steps in 2020. Are you nuts? Not at all. X
ReplyDeleteFive days left and just over 17 miles to do! Seems like my positive vibes have been beneficial. Perhaps I'll hear you shout when you reach 1000. It's not been easy for you with first a wonky knee and then TAM. I was really impressed to see you managed a walk on Christmas Day! I'm not walking much this month and at the moment I'll not reach my month target but such is life! Keep walking. X
ReplyDeleteWell done with 7.03 miles to go; 3 days left too! I'll keep checking every day to see how you go. x
ReplyDeleteYeay the end is in sight. Perhaps today will be the day. I'll keep my ears on alert for a huge shout of joy when you hit 1000 miles. Perhaps you'll have a claxon to sound! Thinking of you and fingers crossed. X
ReplyDeleteI just knew you could do it. Day off tomorrow and then the game starts again!
