Just about bordering on odd, I see things through different eyes. The heading says it all - I live, I love, I craft, I am me...

Nearly a Ta-da

Thank you so much for your kind comments about my  fairisle  bauble, I should have also thanked everyone who  voted for it on the Shetland Wool Week Facebook  page. In my excitement  I completely forgot. ...sorry! And  oh yes - thank you!

I am still  ever so slightly giddy about it :)

Any hoo, still on a knitting theme, I have finally completed my estuary  shawl. At this very moment it is being blocked. At one point I had a little helper sitting on one corner and I was so worried she would pull out the pins that  I've had to lay out a cover - so far it has  worked.
I want to take photos tomorrow,  the weather's promising to be grotty so I'm not that hopeful.

My laptop is still not been well. Youngest, a week ago, was playing with a small ball, throwing for the cat and in his enthusiasm the ball flew out of his hand knocking a glass of water over my keyboard. ....cue an awful lot of cussing and leaping up to quickly disconnect my laptop. Now about a quarter of the keys don't work. In desperation I've hijacked  Himself 's tablet and have typed this one key at a time using a stylis ..... gah.

I have already started another project - photos and story to follow soon x

  1. I just live how cats "help" at every opportunity! Smudge finds the trackpad on my laptop the perfect place to rest her head. Slightly less perfect for me!
Just a thought - my previous laptop suffered a wine glass incident and the keys never worked properly again. Until I could afford a new one I bought a new plug in keyboard which bypassed the problem. Good luck. Xx

  3. Sorry to hear about your poorly laptop - hope it's better soon:) I'm looking forward to seeing your shawl, and laughed at your little helper. I have one of those too. Funny how drawn they are to the very thing that you wouldn't want anyone to sit on!

  4. One less UFO! Great news. I had to smile when I saw the camouflaged shawl. At least it would by extra soft for Pepper to rest upon.

  5. Love that shawl, it's so delicate, but I do hope Puss doesn't catch it with it's claws anytime. I'm knitting my grandaughter a fine scarf at the moment with wool I bought in Tavistock whilst there. Must put that on my blog. Hope the laptop gets better. Take care.

  7. Love the shawl. It always helps when you block a large item to put a weight on it too - at least that is what Pepper says!! x
