Just about bordering on odd, I see things through different eyes. The heading says it all - I live, I love, I craft, I am me...

Quick - I've cast on again!(ᵔᴥᵔ)

Having not had the urge to knit for quite some time, then under the pressure of a deadline,
I re-discovered my knitting mojo.
And how!
So, within half an hour of Youngest placing his hat on his head,
I was casting on.

Two shades of deliciously blue and squadgy alpaca.
And now that I've knitted a few rows,
I know that I've missed knitting,
I'd just not realised how much.

The big reveal will happen soon xx

Now - for Eileen T - You asked how to get the twinkly effect from the cursor - open your layout, 'add a gadget' look for the HTML/JavaScript and insert this code     <script type="text/javascript" src="http://24work-new.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/24work-blogspot/snow-cursor/code/051_lavender_blush2_ebdde2_24work.blogspot.com.js"></script>

I did try several codes before I found this version, it was the first one that worked in blogger. There are many other varieties out there, takes a while to find ones that are compatible. Good luck hope it works for you too (ᵔᴥᵔ)

Edited to add

PS - I'd knitted about 20 rows when I stumbled at the first hurdle....MRl and ML1 - yes yes I know what they mean - I just can't do them neatly enough and they look horrendous!! So back to the drawing board :(

  1. What are you making?
    Julie xxxxxxx

  2. I don't know what they mean ... knitting patterns remain a complete mystery to me!

Thanks for the code, I'll have a go later - need it for my new look (which I still have to finish sorting out).

  3. New knitting codes to me so cannot help! Seems a lot of yarn for a hat so am thinking it might not be a hat! A shawl perhaps....

Off to the fields to pull up some thistles!

  4. Ooh, gorgeous colours. Can't wait to see what you are up to. I know it will be good, whatever. Take care and enjoy your newfound mojo.

  5. I've been wondering about your twinkly effect so thank you for solving the mystery. Looking forward to seeing what you're knitting.

  6. Alpaca is delightfully squidgy isn't it? x

  7. Glad to see you are knitting again. Lovely colours - now we all need to know what you are making. Hope you manage to master that Make 1 right and Make 1 left. Can't let it beat you!! xx

  8. Looks as though you have got the bug! xx

  9. Great that you're back to knitting, can't wait to see what you're doing with this lovely soft looking yarn! xx

  10. It's lovely to find a renewed enthusiasm for something. The blue yarn is very appealing - I wonder what you'll make?
