One of my favourite jobs at work is the Friday flowers - In spring I sowed several beds of cutting garden flowers and two wigwams' worth of sweetpeas. For several months now I have had the absolute pleasure of picking and tying posies, country style bunches and arranging informal bouquets for events.
These photos are from last Friday's pick - and tomorrow - I will be doing it all again (woohoo!)
Have a lovely weekend xxx
A feast for the eyes & maybe nostrils too with the sweet peas. Kate you are doing an amazing job with your work & in these trying times, it is the rare moments of beauty that help us along & flowers are gift from nature. Thanks for sharing, take care & hugs.

DeleteThat sounds like a perfect job for a dull Friday morning
ReplyDeleteOh it is - I so look forward to itπ
DeleteI feel so much more alert and happier after reading your colourful post just now. The pots/containers of flowers are lovely. Well done you and the team. I must make an effort and grow more/better sweet peas next year as I love the scent when I walk by them. x
ReplyDeleteDefinitely grow more sweet peas - another garden I work at - we grow them in the greenhouse as it is a very windy garden - this year has been the first she has had sweet peas to pick (been there 14 years) as the wind has not been able to batter them down!
DeleteWhat a beautiful post to start my day. I just love colour and you have it in abundance here.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend

DeleteThose are gorgeous. Where we visited the other day they've had such a fabulous year in the cutting garden that they're drying the statis and a couple of other types of flowers and then selling the bouquets of them in the shop. Arilx
ReplyDeleteAll our statis were sold through our plant sales but I have dried the helichrysums this year and hope to use them as part of chrimbly wreathes π
