It feels a bit trite waffling on when so much is happening,
I am trying in the words of Desmond Tutu to 'Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world' - I hope he was right. ๐๐ xx
I feel the same Kate & sort of said my post was trivial compared to all the mayhem happening & when I opened up my computer this morning to check emails, there on the webpage news, were the headlines another of our cricketers has passed away. Really? Maybe not as drastic as Ukraine or our flooding rains, but I'm so saddened by all this that any bad stuff is getting to me. Thanks for those wonderful words by Desmond Tutu. Have a good weekend, take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt's all we can do in this crazy time.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree Kate. The balance is so out of kilter across the World. I guess we can only hope that our ramblings perhaps brighten up someone’s day somewhere and give a bit of respite from the constant horror that we are all watching ๐
ReplyDeleteWe can't really do much else; perhaps our start of localised happiness/kindness can start to go viral.... x
ReplyDeleteKeep on writing about your normal..as I have just commented elsewhere..if you have readers who are going through hell, you can bring a bit of sanity into their lives
ReplyDeleteThis is a great quote - thank you!
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling the same, Kate. And yet I've found comfort in reading the blogs of others - 'little bits of good.' X
ReplyDeleteThat's a quote that makes a lot of sense.
ReplyDeleteJust a few minutes ago I read another quote by Desmond Tutu.
ReplyDelete'My Humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.'๐งก xx
Keep doing what you're doing, donate, care and share positive and happy things, it's all we can do. xxx
ReplyDeleteI keep having to remind myself that I can't control this situation, but just do what I can and keep sending out positive energy. Arilx
