Just about bordering on odd, I see things through different eyes. The heading says it all - I live, I love, I craft, I am me...

Off to Shetland Wool Week...

...no, not me - one day I hope!

No, my two festive baubles are about to wing their way off to decorate the tree in in Lerwick Shetland. I've just come in from taking some photos - it is PITCH black out there and I want to apologise for my photos before we go any further....

One slight problem.....Himself and the boys wanted them to stay at home for our tree so I have promised to make some more (oh what hardship *grin*) so - watch this space :)

What you been knitting recently?
Are you about to start a new project?
What are you up?

What ever it is, hope it puts a smile on your face.

  1. They look great! I agree with Himself and the boys, you must knit some for your own tree.

  6. Hello! Thank you for popping by my blog; it's lovely to 'meet' you. I love your festive baubles - you're so clever - I can just about knit and purl if I concentrate really hard! I've enjoyed looking back through your posts: The Bee Library is a lovely idea and I adore the owl hat. Maybe one day if I persevere I'll be able to do something half as nice...... but I won't hold my breath! Have a lovely Sunday. x

  8. They really are very pretty and I'm sure your tree will benefit from some too. :)
I'm just about to crochet a Christmas wreath - that's the plan anyway. I'm not guaranteeing it will be done for this Christmas though! x

  10. The baubles are marvellous, I love them, couldn't choose which I like best out of the two designs. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a tree just of knitted baubles and crochet white snowflakes-if I had time I really would be tempted-oh and need to learn that 4 pointy needle trick first too-eek.
Lovely idea to make jars of homemade loveliness, with a recipe and spoon, I would like to receive that as a gift.
Enjoy your week, hope the work bit goes quickly.

  11. Hello Hawthorn

Yes, I agree with Himself and the Boys, you definately should make some for yourself, they will look wonderful on your Christmas Tree.

I'm in the process of crocheting an Autumnal quilt. Two rows complete with six more to go.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

  13. Wow, they look so good, and I'm sure they'll be great on "that" tree. Hopefully you'll make some more for your tree. As for me, I've just finished a jumper I started last winter (2013) and will start sewing it up so I can do the neckband ready for next winter, mid 2015 here in Oz. (lol) Take care.
