Brilliant!!
PS well done my boy - so very proud of you :)

For those who are not sure what I am yelling from the roof tops is about - Eldest has received his A level results and he did fantastically well and has been offered a place at an amazing uni to do a Masters in an Earth and Environmental Sciences degree! (Not sure where he has got his brains from but it is certainly not me!!!) I am not one to shout about things like this - but in this case I will be making an exception :)
So now will be a flurry of sorting out equipment and books as well as the sort of stuff he will need to survive on his own ... don't forget the can opener!
(At this point I might be having a little cry ... so proud but we will all miss him fiercely while he is away!)
It does mean I might/probably lose my photo-companion for our scavenger hunt :( but he will be too busy doing really exciting new things. Any hoo - a recap (with a slight alteration and the missing dates - sorry, there has been an awful lot going on in the hawthorn household recently).

Congratulations to Eldest and I think Mum seems "very" proud. I can't believe that 2 of my blog pals have such talented children. Both you and Jo.
ReplyDeleteI've sent an email and I've been trying to find photos for the Scavenger Hunt. Take care.
Well done Eldest! I know what a busy time this will be. Having got two off to uni (and one more to go) I know what a mix of emotions awaits, but all so very exciting.

Well done to your eldest. An exciting and scary time! Two of my sons went to Lancaster uni and both loved the experience. They looked after them really well :) B x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your eldest, exciting times xxxx
ReplyDeleteI AM SHOUTING; WELL DONE ELDEST; shout over. I will add that I know he has had a lot of support from the Hawthorn household (cats included) so you must take some of the credit. As for where he gets his brains from, well you've had lots of good ideas over the years so there's the answer! Better mention Himself as I'm sure he has played his part too!
ReplyDeleteExciting times ahead! Thanks for the Photo date; I've a few more days which is good as I'm struggling with this list!
Congratulations to all - eldest grandson and his proud parents from equally proud grandparents. We know he will do well. xx
