#walk1000miles 2021

Third Year Running - Daily record as part of #walk1000miles for 2021

Boots on only walks =  proper daily walk with boots or wellies recorded by 'Strava' or Pedometer whether just a short 'dog-loop' or an extended all day hike. Some days will be just managing a quick trot out between normal day activities.
And the place names in italics
well, they relate to a tracker map and are added ever 10 miles as way marker posts,
some places I'd love to visit and others I may ever get to see.

  1. What a good start to 2021 you have made. Please do some steps for me as after 3 days I've managed the grand total of 3.48 miles..... Too icy etc for me to go out and walk.

  2. So far I've managed 15½ miles... I think this month will be the first time I've not reached my target miles and possibly a whole month without reaching my daily 2.74 miles target... never mind it's not a crisis if I can't keep up with you.

    1. Take it at your own pace, it is not a race and the weather is not helping xx

  3. I'm still not walking and managed 1.0 miles yesterday...... I gather you are doing a lot of walking in your new job! x

    1. Yes the new job has gifted me miles and miles! last week I did 4 and a half whilst barrowing compost and wood chip - it is over the course of 5 hours but they all add up :D

  4. So, at this rate you'll reach your target by June! Well doen. As for me, well I knew January would be a poor month; I only managed 51.5 miles! I think it's the first time ever I've not reach my monthly target but there are still lots of walking days ahead..... I'm being optimistic!

  5. You are galloping along these days but your work does help! At the end of January I was 33 miles short of my target.... but I'm doing better this month; to-date I've an excess of 3 whole miles.... x

  6. Thanks for the note next to 15 February, saying how are ahead you are this year compared to 2020 and 2019. Might you get to 2000 by the end of June???? x

  7. Gosh, you've done 24 miles over your target; I am impressed. Keep going. At the end of January I was 33 miles behind my target; but at the end of February I have an excess of 21 miles! So I only need to met this month's target with an excess of 12 miles to catch up.... x

    2. I'm taking it steady; we are getting lots of little walks on which helps and then I've been out a bit in the garden too! x

  8. Surprising fact - I'm still getting my steps in. Yesterday I had reached 219 miles... I can't see you as you are way ahead but I'm just pleased to be able to get the steps in. The drier weather has helped as has being out in the garden. You keep steaming ahead and don't wait for me as I'm taking in the scenery! x

  9. Looks like you will reach this month's target early. I'm pleased to say I reach this month's target 2 days ago and now the rest of this month can be spent on catching up on January's target, only 11 more miles to 'find'. Then I can concentrate on just keeping up. x

    1. Well done you! Try not to over do it, it will be easier find find those miles as the weather improves xx

  10. Gosh, you've done an extra 26 miles in March; I'm full of admiration for you. I only just realised you are walking north to south.... I managed to end March with a surplus of 12.8 miles having taken February and March to make up for the 33.12 deficit I achieved in January! On the first day of this month I even achieved my daily target.... as you say the better weather helps! x
