Flowery filled Fridays 🌻

One of my favourite jobs at work is the Friday flowers - In spring I sowed several beds of cutting garden flowers and two wigwams' worth of sweetpeas. For several months now I have had the absolute pleasure of picking and tying posies, country style bunches and arranging informal bouquets for events.

These photos are from last Friday's pick - and tomorrow - I will be doing it all again (woohoo!)

Have a lovely weekend xxx

  1. A feast for the eyes & maybe nostrils too with the sweet peas. Kate you are doing an amazing job with your work & in these trying times, it is the rare moments of beauty that help us along & flowers are gift from nature. Thanks for sharing, take care & hugs.

  5. I feel so much more alert and happier after reading your colourful post just now. The pots/containers of flowers are lovely. Well done you and the team. I must make an effort and grow more/better sweet peas next year as I love the scent when I walk by them. x

    1. Definitely grow more sweet peas - another garden I work at - we grow them in the greenhouse as it is a very windy garden - this year has been the first she has had sweet peas to pick (been there 14 years) as the wind has not been able to batter them down!

  10. Those are gorgeous. Where we visited the other day they've had such a fabulous year in the cutting garden that they're drying the statis and a couple of other types of flowers and then selling the bouquets of them in the shop. Arilx
