Just about bordering on odd, I see things through different eyes. The heading says it all - I live, I love, I craft, I am me...

Baby steps

Trying something new.

Taking it step by step - or rather stitch by stitch.
There is an awful amount of counting and re-counting and pulling back and knitting on.
And slowly slowly a pattern is beginning to emerge.
And I am super excited by it all!

Will report on success (or frogging) as it happens :)

  1. I always admire your bold approach to complicated patterns. I have been knitting seriously for 50 + years and still would not tackle a pattern like that!! Well done. Look forward to seeing the end product! xx

  4. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful hat! For two years on the trot I have vowed to try colourwork/fair isle knitting and this year even bought a book on it (I do knit, but tend to stick to fairly easy stuff). I had a couple of goes at some patterns, then drifted back to crochet again. Your hat is very inspiring - can't wait to see it finished x

  5. Oh my gosh... you don't do things by halves do you. Like Jak I've been knitting a long time and couldn't even begin to start anything like that.
